Curriculum
Young children’s brains develop quickly. We know learning during the early childhood years is critical to developing lifelong skills. We also know that children learn from doing and experiencing. At Reba we rely on a play-based curriculum with learning centers based on the Creative Curriculum® and the TeachingStrategiesGold© assessment tool.
Each classroom is designed to offer interactive learning just right for each child’s individual age and stage of development. Children will experience hands-on activities that develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. We guide our children with an equitable, anti-bias approach to interacting and learning.

Two to Three-Year-Old ClassroomOur two to three year age classroom (Green room) focuses on self-help skills, language development, social interactions with peers and adults, and developmentally appropriate academic concepts.

Three to Five-Year-Old ClassroomOur three to five year age classrooms are designated as Preschool for All classrooms by the IL State Board of Education. These two classrooms (Purple & Blue) emphasize skill-building every child needs to transition to kindergarten.
