Facilities
RELC is located two blocks south of the Main Street shopping district and one block west of the rapidly developing Chicago Avenue corridor. It is two blocks from the Main Street El stop, Metra station, and major bus lines. The 740 Custer Avenue address at the corner of Madison Street places RELC across the street from a fire station, a church, and a small office complex. Two city parks are within two blocks. A loading-unloading area provides immediate access to each of the three entrances. There is also temporary parking nearby on Custer Ave.
RELC is located in a one-story 1920’s mall building that has received extensive modernization in recent years.
RELC has three classrooms. Each classroom has several distinct learning centers that enhance the program: blocks & construction, sensory play, manipulatives, science, math, literacy (reading, writing, computer) and art. Separate sinks and toilets are a part of each room. A custom built indoor climbing apparatus and school library are available to each classroom on a rotating basis.
Parents have direct access to their child’s classroom from the parking area through three modern security entrances.

Play Lot
Reba's private, fenced outdoor play lot has a popular Scandinavian climbing apparatus, a tricycle path, gardening areas, play house and big covered sandbox. There are large chalkboards, an easel, a bubble table, and a sprinkler for summer water play.
The play lot also includes a storage shed that houses a number of materials that encourage large motor activity.
